Art is a sacrifice but it should not come at the cost of well-being.
Please introduce yourself, what you do, why you do it, and what you want people to know about you.
Hello, I’m Steven Sharpe Jr. I’m a Brooklyn-based lifestyle content creator, founder of Nobius Creative, and mental health advocate.
I prefer to use my platform to help break down mental health stigma by sharing my life on social media. Usually through images that I shoot and create and think way too much about!

When people come to my platform, I just hope they feel seen & encouraged to be their most authentic selves as well as get dope advice to live life well! Through my agency, I do that because I want to make sure creators are represented well.
Art is a sacrifice but it should not come at the cost of well-being.
What qualities make you different and unique from everyone else in the industry?
I understand balance. Existing in multiple spaces. For instance, I’m not motivated by money. I understand the value and purpose of money and my motivation isn’t to just accumulate.
I don’t care what people think of me. Yet I take thoughtful criticism into account because it helps me grow. I love creating content for brands, however, I will not settle for fees that insult my worth. Do you see what I mean?

Describe THAT moment when you realized you wanted to do what you do now. Who did you tell first? What has it been like since that moment?
This is a hard one because there wasn’t a specific moment. It was over time. Years even. Improving myself and unlearning unhealthy patterns of thinking so I could be ready to take the next steps towards my goals.
What has been the biggest challenge you’ve had to face and how did you overcome it?
The biggest challenge I’ve ever faced was caring so desperately about what others thought about me. I think New York helped a lot with that. I’ve been here for 5 years and I’ve seen a lot. Who cares what other people are thinking about me?
I hope they think I’m a great person but if not, that’s cool! I’m not for everyone. Bless you and good day.

If you had to pick the TOP 3 people you’d want to meet that could take your career (or business) to the next level…who would those 3 people be?
