From Versatility to Authenticity: Brittany’s Journey in the Spotlight

Please introduce yourself. What do you do? Why? What do you want people to know about you?

Brittany is an accomplished actress known for her versatile roles in various Lifetime films, including Emmy-winning Cooper’s Bar and Hulu’s Santa Games. Her latest project, “Secret Life of a Sorority Girl,” features her as Sunny, a dancer who extends a helping hand to Cheryl when she faces rejection from her peers at the club.

Sunny offers to assist Cheryl in her quest to find her daughter, but not without a price. The film is scheduled to premiere on Lifetime on Saturday, April 6th, at 8/7c p.m.

What qualities make you different and unique from everyone else in the industry?

As an actress, I bring a distinct blend of versatility and authenticity to every role I undertake. Drawing from a lineage of creativity and innovation—my great grandfather invented Play-Doh—I strive to embody diverse characters with depth and empathy, connecting with audiences on an emotional level while honoring a legacy of imagination and invention.

Describe THAT moment when you realized you’re doing what you were born to do.

As my mother and I watched ‘Breakfast at Tiffany’s,’ I was captivated by Audrey Hepburn’s performance. In that moment, I felt a deep resonance with the power of storytelling and knew that acting was my calling. She has since pasted and I do my best to play homage to her.

What’s been the biggest challenge you’ve had to go through and how did you grow through it?

One of my biggest challenges was figuring out how to enter and navigate the entertainment industry. It’s not like the business world where you follow a clear path from college to internships and then climb the corporate ladder. I had to find my own way, building connections, seizing opportunities, and staying true to my artistic vision.

Through perseverance, networking, and seeking guidance from mentors, I learned to navigate the complexities of the industry and carve out my own path towards realizing my dreams as an actress.

Who are the TOP 3 people you’d want to meet that could elevate your career or business?  Why these specific individuals?

I’d love to meet to elevate my career are Jennifer Lawrence and Richard Bates Jr. Jennifer’s versatility and Richard’s visionary approach to filmmaking could offer invaluable insights and opportunities to further my acting journey. I’ve actually spoken with Richard once, and his advice was truly invaluable.

I would love the opportunity to work with him in any capacity someday. Can you imagine how incredible it would be to connect with them? And obviously Christopher Nolan (no explanation needed.)
