My name is DAYVEON porter, I’m a 20 year old upcoming artist that goes by the name Davar. I write and record music of all genres. I’m also going to be acting on a upcoming show called; Kim & Niecy, a moesha/The Parker’s spin off coming soon to tubi television. I want people to know that there’s a generation coming up that’s creative, entrepreneurs, positive and love God! I’m also the Co-CEO of an upcoming clothing brand called YoungStatistics launching in 2023.
What qualities make you different and unique from everyone else in the industry?
What makes me different is that people don’t expect me to the things I do when it comes
To music or my creativity. I purposely do the opposite of what I see other’s do in the industry do. I like to go against the flow of life and create a new wave.
Describe THAT moment when you realized you’re doing what you were born to do.
The moment I realized I was born to do what I’m doing is when I started catching the eyes of celebrities and old friends that knew the old me but was now interested in the new me.
What’s been the biggest challenge you’ve had to go through and how did you grow through it?
The biggest challenge was talking to old friends with a new way of thinking. Friendship became battlefields. Some love the new me but most was still trying to hangout with my old self and it was hard moving forward. Running the streets to being a family man has been and still is a hard transition.
Who are the TOP 3 people you’d want to meet that could elevate your career or business? Why these specific individuals?
Kirk Franklin because I like his style of music; the background choir never fails. A boogie with the hoodie because he’s A boogie and Tamela Mann because her music got my mom through some hard times.
