Unmasking the Dream: T. Parker’s Journey to Becoming the First Black Batman

Please introduce yourself. What do you do? Why? What do you want people to know about you?

Hello my name is Tamarrice Parker or you could just call me T.Parker. I’m currently looking to be an actor and model. For the past year I’ve currently been screenwriting and making short film’s, I had zero to no experience When i was younger i would always watch action film’s and other films in different genre’s and i would look at them like they were my inspiration. Zach Snyder’s Justice League was the main film that inspired me so much…

I am here because i want to do a campaign of becoming the first black batman/Jace Fox. Growing up i was one of the smartest kids in the class i would always get my work done and get it turned in on time, I was a very intelligent young man i would always read book’s because i loved gaining knowledge so so… much. I’m here today to share my story of becoming the first black batman.

What qualities make you different and unique from everyone else in the industry?

The main quality that makes me unique is being able to share my story without being ashamed, when i was younger i would always dress up as batman or bruce wayne on halloween each year. I would always tell my mom to get me a batman costume because it sparked me to always dress up and stay loyal to one costume, that’s how much i loved dressing up as batman.

The second quality is not being fearful of standing up for who i want to be, as the person who want’s to accomplish being the first black batman, I know that not everyone wants to see an african american under the cowl of batman but i am here to prove to the world that i can truly become batman/Jace fox.

The last quality is being confident about my goals towards the industry, as we all know we don’t usually see much black characters in the DC Universe such as cyborg and lucious fox which is only one of the black character’s from the dc universe. My goal which is becoming the first black batman would change the game of the film industry. As a black man, being able to be confident about my goal is something no other person of my race is able to do.

Describe THAT moment when you realized you’re doing what you were born to do.

The moment when i realized at a later time in life when i would always love to write essays and read books and dress up as batman when i was a kid, i knew that this goal was meant for me. When we talk about reading we get knowledge which is why everyone say knowledge is power, when writing we get to write our own story’s and recreate our own rather than the story’s we read in the book’s. This is where our creativity comes in handy which lead’s us to writing script’s for our own ideas. All the times where i loved to read, write and dress-up was when i realized that the film industry was best for me.

What’s been the biggest challenge you’ve had to go through and how did you grow through it?

The biggest challenge i have faced was everyone telling me that batman is always white and will always be white and would never be black. Me hearing that coming from a person that wants to be the first black african american to take the cowl of bruce wayne is mental because no one want’s to see a black person unde rthe cowl.

I’ve overcome the downtalk by sticking to the plan of becoming the person i truly want to be because in life people will only talk when you’re doing something right in life, they cant see it from my level and vision. Growing through this was a struggle, it was mentally hard because i always thought i’d never be able to accomplish this dream but i sticked to the plan.

Who are the TOP 3 people you’d want to meet that could elevate your career or business?  Why these specific individuals?

The top three people i would like to meet to elevate my career would be ben affleck, will smith and michael b jordan. The reason being is because if i was to ever sit and have a talk with ben affleck and michael b jordan i would have a better chance of having my story understood since ben affleck was the person who actually played as batman and michael b jordan was the person who put together having the first black superman film. Will smith being last because i know he would give me the best advice of what being an actor takes. All these bigtime people will most elevate my goals and get my name out their and my story.
