Please introduce yourself. What do you do? Why? What do you want people to know about you?
My name is Brandon Rembert and I currently work for the Pittsburgh Pirates in amateur scouting. I also like to post lifestyle pictures on Instagram just for fun and to tap into some of my creativity. I have many passions and I don’t like to limit myself to just one lane.
What qualities make you different and unique from everyone else in the industry?
What makes me different and unique is my want to not put myself in one box. I just don’t want to be good at only one thing. I have a ton of different avenues that I want to explore that are not only in my profession. I think my ability to just be authentically myself is something that I value and am consistently working on and just using my creativity to work on different ideas helps me to tap into who I truly am as an individual.
Describe THAT moment when you realized you’re doing what you were born to do.
As I mentioned earlier, I do work in professional baseball. I don’t feel like it was just one moment, but multiple moments where I just felt deep inside that I could do this for a long time. Just knowing that baseball is one of my greatest passions and then getting the opportunity to be apart of a professional organization, it was a no brainer that I believe that I am meant to be doing what I’m doing. Obviously things change as time goes on, but watching baseball at the ballpark has always given me a sense of peace and tranquility, which I believe will never fade.
What’s been the biggest challenge you’ve had to go through and how did you grow through it?
One of my biggest challenges I have faced was the challenge of burnout. In my role in 2023, I was given numerous daily tasks that usually took up a lot of my day. Learning how to get those tasks done while also balancing rest was very difficult for me. I felt like I was always sacrificing one or the other. That is still a challenge i somewhat face today, but now I have a little more wisdom on how to navigate that situation.
Who are the TOP 3 people you’d want to meet that could elevate your career or business? Why these specific individuals?
Lebron James, Bryce Harper, and Derek Jeter. I believe that these 3 are moguls when it comes to sports and business. I feel like I could learn a lot from these individuals where it could ultimately positively impact the trajectory of my career.
