Please introduce yourself, what you do, why you do it, and what you want people to know about you.
I am a writer and a screenwriter and for as long as I can remember, I have strongly chosen writing to realize myself as a creative. After about twenty years as a writer, a few years ago I began to write my stories also as films, short films, and television series.
Writing is my current dimension and I love it.
What qualities make you different and unique from everyone else in the industry?
I think my ability to move between different genres: in my personal path, I have faced the historical genre, thriller and noir, comedy, and different types of media, from the book to the screenplay to the podcast, moving between the various fields with curiosity and desire to learn.
Describe THAT moment when you realized you wanted to do what you do now. Who did you tell first? What has it been like since that moment?
I was very young and I was seven years old when I wrote my first poem. From that moment I understood that I wanted to write, that I liked it and found it comfortable. The awareness came later, around the age of ten: I always said “when I grow up I will be a writer”.
I can say that even though it was hard and still is, every day, I realized that childhood dream.
What has been the biggest challenge you’ve had to face and how did you overcome it?
Definitely turn my novel into a screenplay and a TV show. There is a big difference between one language and another, and detaching from one to use the other was really difficult.
If you had to pick the TOP 3 people you’d want to meet that could take your career (or business) to the next level…who would those 3 people be?
I would like to meet Michael Hirst, Casey Bloys and Ridley Scott, to whom I would like to propose some of my historical projects …
