Please introduce yourself. What do you do? Why? What do you want people to know about you?
Hi, my name is Preice Anderson, and am born and raised in the sunny state of Florida!
I always wanted to be an actor in Hollywood but growing up my parents didn’t have the money to move to California let alone send me to acting school. So, the next best thing for me was YouTube! Therefore, I jumped in with a new channel and began creating funny entertainment videos.
Then years down the road TikTok came along and I took my content to the next level. Now I am known around town as that “Hoyea Guy!” I love taking my comedy to the streets to get authentic reactions in my community and of course for the laughs!
What qualities make you different and unique from everyone else in the industry?
I think what sets me apart from most influencers these days is that I am 100% real. What you see on my channel is what you get if you passed me by on the streets of SW Florida.
I think in such a filter-ridden age, it is important to stay authentic to yourself and your story. I came from a humble upbringing and I will always stay true to my roots and those you have helped me along the way!
Describe THAT moment when you realized you’re doing what you were born to do.
Before I started creating funny entertainment videos on social media I use to do funny skits with my friends and family.
It started with this one skit I did with my niece and good friend where my niece runs up to me and says, “Uncle Preice this guy just hit me.” Then me and my friend get tough and say, “Who hit you and what was he wearing?” She then points to him and tells us that he is over there and is wearing a black shirt and black air forces.
That’s when I stop being tough and say to her, “In my eyes, you just got hit!”…because you don’t mess with people that wear black air forces. The video reached over a million views on TikTok. That’s when I knew I was born to do this.
What’s been the biggest challenge you’ve had to go through and how did you grow through it?
The biggest challenge I’ve had with this journey I’m on is not having solid support.
What I mean by that is yes, my friends and family congratulate me on my success, but when I ask them to either be featured in my videos or simply hold the camera for me, they come up with an excuse. Therefore, I find myself doing the video by myself, which is cool because they are my social media accounts, but sometimes you need that extra person in the video so the viewers can get 2 points of view.
I always appreciate creating with others, but most of the time it’s just me and my old reliable tripod!
Who are the TOP 3 people you’d want to meet that could elevate your career or business? Why these specific individuals?
I would love to meet Kevin Hart because he is super funny and I know being around him would help me bring out an even funnier version of myself. The second person I would love to meet is Will Smith because his acting skills are through the roof.
I think being around that kind of talent would help me with auditions and bring my characters to life the way he does so effortlessly.
The third person I’d love to meet is Will Ferrell because the guy is hilarious. The way he can be any character and have you on the floor laughing is awesome to me. Being around a comedic personality like that and watching and learning from what he does and how he does it would help me bring different characters to life and run with it.
