Twins Bianca And Chiara D’Ambrosio Shares What Truly Makes Them Unique

Please introduce yourself. What do you do? Why? What do you want people to know about you?

Chiara: I am Chiara D’Ambrosio, a Daytime Emmy Award-winning actress, and I have been in the entertainment industry for over 13 years, with my start playing young Summer Newman on the “Young and the Restless” at three years old.

Over time, I have gotten to work on projects on Nickelodeon, including “See Dad Run” and “Nicky, Ricky, Dicky, and Dawn”, Disney+ “Diary of a Future President”, and on Popstar TV’s “The Bay”. When I am not in front of the camera, I enjoy being behind it, whether I am writing the project, or producing. I also love to read, and read over 150 books in 2021!

Bianca: I am Bianca D’Ambrosio and I am a Daytime Emmy Nominated actress, a screenwriter, and a film director. I have been acting since I was three years old when I played Summer Newman on ‘The Young and The Restless”.

Since then, I have been in the projects such as the upcoming Roe v. Wade drama “Call Jane” with Elizabeth Banks and Sigourney Weaver, “High Heat”, “Criminal Minds”, and on the Emmy Winning Drama “The Bay”. I love being a part of the entertainment industry, and I hope to inspire other young women like me to pursue a career in this industry.

Outside of acting, Chiara and I have a book club where we encourage teen literacy and giveaway the selected book club pick to readers around the world. Fun fact, I have over 200 books in the past 2 years!

What qualities make you different and unique from everyone else in the industry?

Chiara: I definitely believe that the quality that makes me different from everyone else is my drive. I am constantly creating projects, and outlining new ideas that can potentially be on the big screen. I believe that my determination to balance both my career and school is a quality that makes me unique.

I believe that knowledge is power, which has led me to be on the Dean’s list and National Honor Society high school graduate at sixteen years old!

Bianca: I believe that the quality that makes me unique is how I have gone through this journey in the entertainment industry as a twin. Being a twin in an industry that will attempt to pit you two against each other has been a challenge.

However, Chiara and I are each other’s biggest fans and we want the best for each other in our careers and in life. Having Chiara by my side during our journey through this rigorous industry has made this experience way more enjoyable.

Describe THAT moment when you realized you’re doing what you were born to do.

Chiara: I have been in the industry since I was three years old. My parents decided to put us into this industry for a little bit, and see if we actually enjoyed it. I knew I loved being a part of this industry and understood that people around the world were watching the projects I was fortunate to be a part of, which is a surreal feeling.

I never understood how special that realization could be until I was at the mall and a young girl came up to me. She said she looked up to me as a role model and would be a supporter for the rest of my projects.

It was at that moment I discovered what impact I could make for the younger generation, and I knew that this was what I was born to do.

Bianca: I have always loved being an actress, but my dream career is to be a film director. The moment that I realized that being a director was what I wanted to do, was when I attended a screening of the film “Palm Springs” at Sundance in 2020.

After the movie was finished, the director of the film made a surprise appearance. When he walked on the stage, I saw the pure joy on his face when he saw the happy faces of those in the audience. There is no exact reason why this moment struck a chord with me, but it just did.

The pride and joy on his face will stay with me forever

What’s been the biggest challenge you’ve had to go through and how did you grow through it?

Chiara: I think the biggest challenge, especially being in this industry, is handling the rejection. I believe that this factor gets easier over time, but when I was younger, it was definitely something to process. We get so hopeful for these jobs and think this may be the one, but it doesn’t turn out that way.

As I have gotten older, I have learned to take my rejections and turn them into positive experiences. I get to learn from my mistakes and move on to the point when I can finally hear the word YES.

Bianca: One of the biggest challenges I have had to face in this industry, Is learning how to ignore negative comments on social media. Social media has made both a positive and negative impact on my life.

I used to fixate on comments and likes on my posts and focus on negative comments rather than focus on positive comments. Over the years, I have learned to ignore negative messages and focus on the people who are kind on social media.

Who are the TOP 3 people you’d want to meet that could elevate your career or business? Why these specific individuals?

Chiara: There are so many people I would want to meet from this business! However, if I had to pick three, I would say Jodie Comer, Aaron Sorkin, and Greta Gerwig. Jodie Comer is my favorite actress, and she is a huge inspiration to me.

I love both Aaron Sorkin and Greta Gerwig’s work, so to be given advice from two of my favorite screenwriters would be incredible.

Bianca: Ooh, this is a great question! If I had to choose just three people, I would choose Jodie Comer, Zendaya, and Greta Gerwig. Jodie Comer is one of my favorite actresses of all time and she inspires me as an actress and as a person.

I have been a big fan of Zendaya since she was on Disney and it would be surreal to work with her! Greta Gerwig is one of my favorite film directors and inspires me as a female filmmaker.
