Luca Walton describes herself in one sentence: “I love writing songs and singing to Jesus.” On TikTok, where she posts as @lucacharlotte.w, that looks like an acoustic guitar, a bedroom wall with a “What a Friend We Have in Jesus” print on the wall, and songs she wrote herself. She has about 2,500 followers. Her songs deserve a lot more.

Who is Luca Walton?

Luca Walton is a worship songwriter who sings covers, writes her own songs and goes live on TikTok every day to lead worship. Her Instagram bio is even shorter than her TikTok one: “I love jesus a lot.”

She is honest about where her faith came from. In one post she wrote about being grateful even for rock bottom, “the very thing that nearly killed me,” because it drew her into “complete dependance, reliance, that sweet intimacy with Him.” That kind of honesty runs through her songs.

What songs has Luca Walton written?

For a while she mostly posted covers. Then she decided to change that. “Gonna be posting a lot more of the songs I write,” she told her followers, saying fear of what people think was not going to stop her calling. Since then, the originals have been coming:

  • “El Roi.” Named for the Hebrew name for God that means “the God who sees.” She wrote that she used to take off her cross necklace when she went places she knew she shouldn’t, as if God would see her less. The song, built around Psalm 139, is her answer: “he sees all and loves anyway.”
  • A song about the crucifixion. She says it is written as the things she would say sitting at the foot of the cross. “It’s a song of adoration and affection. Let us not grow numb to his suffering.”
  • A lullaby from Matthew 6:26-34. The passage about the birds of the air and the lilies of the field. She wrote it imagining singing it to her own kids one day, and has already sung it to friends at bedtime. Her caption asks fans a simple question: “Should i release it???”

Should Luca Walton release her Matthew 6 lullaby?

How is Luca Walton releasing her music?

With help. In May 2026 she started a GoFundMe called “Help Fund My New Music Release,” with a goal of $3,500. In her words: “This fund me page is here if you feel led to donate for my release of music!” As of mid-October 2026 it had raised $796 from 11 supporters.

That is a small number, and it is a fixable one. Recording, mixing, mastering and distribution cost real money for an independent artist, and a few dozen people who believe in her songs could get them onto streaming services.

Why we are featuring Luca Walton

We find a lot of artists on TikTok. Luca stood out because she is writing from Scripture and from her own story at the same time, and she is doing it before anyone is paying attention. Her biggest videos are worship moments, not trends. “Fully redeemed,” one of them, has more than 13,000 views.

If one of her songs speaks to you, follow her, join a livestream and share her page. That is how an artist with 2,500 followers becomes an artist with a first single.
