I am not afraid to be transparent and authentically myself. Fame really is not the goal. All I want to do is make beautiful music that I love and that I am proud of.
Please introduce yourself, what you do, why you do it, and what you want people to know about you.
Hey everyone! My name is Allie Faith Miller and I am a singer/songwriter based in North Carolina signed to a record label in Los Angeles, California! I have a Bachelor of Music in Music Performance, and I’ve loved to sing since the first time I held a microphone.
I was signed by Prestigious last year right before COVID hit, and I’ve been writing / recording my own original music ever since! Music is my biggest passion in life. I am so beyond thankful to be able to do what I love every single day as a career, and that my dream is finally becoming a reality!
What qualities make you different and unique from everyone else in the industry?
The Allie you see is the Allie you get. I am not afraid to be transparent and authentically myself. Fame really is not the goal. All I want to do is make beautiful music that I love and that I am proud of.
God is working through me to make music that not only gets me through the good and bad times in my life, but gets others through whatever they are going through personally in their own lives. If just one of my songs can inspire someone, help someone through a breakup, or make someones day then it’s all worth it to me.
Describe THAT moment when you realized you wanted to do what you do now. Who did you tell first? What has it been like since that moment?
I’ve known since I was a little girl that this was what I wanted to do, but it wasn’t until my Senior Year of high school that I really knew and accepted 100% that Music is what God wanted me to pursue as a career. My whole entire family always knew that this was what I was supposed to do, and they have done nothing but support me and cheer me on through it all!
Ever since that moment I have experienced so much growth as a musician. I have accomplished so much in my musical career and fallen even more in love with what I do. None of this would be possible without God’s provision in my life and all glory goes to him.
What has been the biggest challenge you’ve had to face and how did you overcome it?
Doubt is definitely the biggest obstacle I’ve had to face as a musician, and I know I am not alone in that. So many people believe the stereotype that being a musician is “impractical”, “not a real job”, or almost impossible to do.
It’s so easy to get discouraged and believe these things when times get tough, but through it all God always comes back and reminds me that this is exactly what I am supposed to be doing. Keeping my faith and trust in him is all I need to overcome this and keep pursuing my passion.
If you had to pick the TOP 3 people you’d want to meet that could take your career (or business) to the next level…who would those 3 people be?
So hard because there are so so many! The first few that come to mind are:
Carrie Underwood. I am probably her #1 fan, and decided when I was 6 years old I wanted to be just like her when I watched her win American Idol in 2005! 😂 I have continued to be amazed but her vocals, but more importantly so inspired by how she stands strong in her faith and never compromises her values (which can be very hard to do in this industry). Powerhouse duet anyone? Because I’m so ready!
John Mayer. He does it all. He composes, writes, sings, and consistently produces beautiful music. A duet with him is a dream of mine for sure!
Taylor Swift. Her songwriting inspires me. She constantly comes out with album after album and never seems to run out of things to say- which is every songwriter’s dream!
