Please introduce yourself. What do you do? Why? What do you want people to know about you?
Hello, my name is Erik Fellows. I am an actor/producer in Hollywood. I’ve been in the business for 20 years and star in TV and films. I enjoy all genres of film and TV, I’ve worked a lot in drama and dark comedy. I have a new film out called “Starf*cker” – just released on TUBI, Amazon and many more platforms to come.
What qualities make you different and unique from everyone else in the industry?
The thing that makes me different from others is that I am perseverance and persistence. I am aggressive with a humble attitude, I will not take “no” for an answer and if I hear the word “no”, I will make sure I turn it around to “yes”. Also, I find ways to make whoever I am doing business with comfortable and make them feel like they can trust me.
Describe THAT moment when you realized you’re doing what you were born to do.
The moment that I realized that I was doing what I was born to do is when I was playing in a movie called “American Cowslip” opposite to Val Kilmer, Diane Ladd, Bruce Stern, Lynn Shay, Blake Clark, Rip Torn and Peter Falk. At the end of the scene they wrapped me and Val Kilmer came over, gave me a hug and said: “Great job, kid”.
What’s been the biggest challenge you’ve had to go through and how did you grow through it?
I’d say the biggest challenge is getting over your own fears and lacking confidence. Over the years I’ve had a lot of success but also a lot of failure. I struggled with a lot throughout the years. Having money, going broke and repeating the process hasn’t made any easier either, also being in the position of your career taking off multiple times and being let down, you start to question if you’ve made the right choices and if this is the right career path for you. I have a fight in me that will never quit and that is my strongest attribute by far. I’m have persevered through all of it and always will! My career is in a great position at the moment and I wouldn’t even have this moment if I allowed the fear and discouragement to win! I will prevail.
Who are the TOP 3 people you’d want to meet that could elevate your career or business? Why these specific individuals?
1/ Brad Pitt definitely would be one because I would love to work opposite to him. I love the way his brain processes life and the way he goes into his performances and the types of characters that he plays. His charisma is something out of this world , I look up to man!
2/ Martin Scorsese is a brilliant film maker and the types of content and movies over the years has paved the path for up and coming film makers to follow and learn from the genius that he is.
3/ Judd Apatow and since I’ve had a career in drama and comedy and the styles of comedy that he has written ,produced and directed is right up my alley , he has made some of my favorite comedies in the 2000s I think the collaboration with working with someone like him would be a golden opportunity and some thing I have always dreamt of.
