Please introduce yourself. What do you do? Why? What do you want people to know about you?
I was born and raised in Russia. In my childhood, I got a musical education and wrote music. My progress was noticed by the teachers, and I was introduced to one of the composers to help develop my talent.
It’s a pity, but I continued to build my career not in the music world, but in the financial sphere. And only 5 years ago I got back to what was given to me by God, I began to make music professionally. I am a Daughter of the East, a songwriter/singer/producer and I sincerely love what I do.
What qualities make you different and unique from everyone else in the industry?
I write absolutely different music and it depends on the mood and state of mind. My collection already has more than 70 songs and 5 albums, in Russian, English, Hindi, Arabic, from pop to rap. Every listener can find something to their liking.
Describe THAT moment when you realized you’re doing what you were born to do.
When I wrote my first song in English, to be honest, I didn’t really believe that the project would be successful. Because, as I’ve already said, that was my first experience and I did not expect that the song would be included in the rotation of many radio stations around the world and even one of the American radio production companies included my song in the built-in playlist.
It really was my first small success and I realized that I was really doing what I have a vocation for. Yeah, also I must say it’s a really great feeling when your music plays in playlists with works by Michael Jackson and Madonna, for example.
What’s been the biggest challenge you’ve had to go through and how did you grow through it?
I would like to tell a story about a challenge that I made myself and it has nothing to do with music. Nevertheless, it is of great importance to me. Since early childhood, I was seriously interested in Indian cinema and when I was watching the premiere of the movie Disco Dancer, I fell in love with the main actor Mithun Chakraborty.
I was 6 years old and then I told myself that I definitely should get to know him in reality when I become an adult. In 2012, I decided to fulfill my childhood dream. It seemed like an unrealistic task because Mithun is a big star in India and I had no idea where to start looking for my favorite actor.
It’s a long fascinating story and maybe I’d better tell it next time if you’re interested. And its finale was that I met him in Mumbai 2 times, we met and talked for a long time, first on the set of the movie and then in his office. On top of that, I made friends with the family of the director of the movie Disco Dancer.
We continue to communicate and meet in India. That was my challenge to myself which was crowned with success and fulfillment of a dream.
Who are the TOP 3 people you’d want to meet that could elevate your career or business? Why these specific individuals?
I would like to meet and work in collaboration with such talented people as Eminem and Madonna. And I also dream of Scott Storch producing one of my works. That’s it.
