I am a professional SFX and beauty makeup artist. I have been in the film industry since 2015. I’ve worked in SC, NC, Georgia, and Texas.
I really love what I do, I love meeting new people and working on different makeup looks.
I’ve had the opportunity to work with Deon Richmond, Mo’Nique, Robert Lasardo, Rod Wave, ESG, and Butch Patrick.
What qualities make you different and unique from everyone else in the industry?
From my experience what makes me different is it’s not just a job. It’s my career, my dream, and my passion that makes me want to do this for a living.
I give it everything I have and I’m constantly working on new looks and testing my skills.
Describe THAT moment when you realized you’re doing what you were born to do.
My first day on set is when I realized how much I want this. Seeing everything that goes on behind the scenes and being in that environment.
I knew at that moment this is what I wanted.
What’s been the biggest challenge you’ve had to go through and how did you grow through it?
Learning to accept dealing with criticism. Sometimes you can’t make a client happy.
All you can do is give it your best and keep going. You can’t take it personally, it’s part of the business.
Who are the TOP 3 people you’d want to meet that could elevate your career or business? Why these specific individuals?
It would mean a lot to me to meet these 3 makeup artists: Ve Neil, Charlotte Tilbury, and Bridget Crider.
I look up to them so much. They have been in this business a long time and have worked on some legendary movies and tv shows. I would love to learn all I can from them.
