Please introduce yourself, what you do, why you do it, and what you want people to know about you.
I want to introduce myself and my co-hosts. My name is Enrique Sapene and I am the executive producer, creator, and cohost of the only LGBTQ+ talk show catering to the LatinX audience nationally via cable and digital through LATV Network (Latino Alternative TV) My cohosts are trans Activist and actress Juliana Joel, lesbian comedian Lianna Carrera and gay Afro Latino beauty influencer Víctor Ramos
What qualities make you different and unique from everyone else in the industry?
We are the only show speaking to a diverse and inclusive audience particularly second and third-generation English and bilingual Latinos through the format of the talk show where we examine subjects related to lifestyle, entertainment, politics, and more but seen through the LGBTQ lens.
Describe THAT moment when you realized you wanted to do what you do now. Who did you tell first? What has it been like since that moment?
The four of us always wanted to give a voice to our community and so I pitched the idea to LATV networks and we are very thankful that they listened and invested in us. We are just finishing our 6th season.
What has been the biggest challenge you’ve had to face and how did you overcome it?
Our biggest challenge was proving that the formula of four LGBTQ diverse characters discussing issues would work and people would relate and respond. Luckily the response has been overwhelmingly positive.
If you had to pick the TOP 3 people you’d want to meet that could take your career (or business) to the next level…who would those 3 people be?
Oprah, Tyler Perry and Ru Paul
