Thank you for the opportunity to introduce myself to your readers. Steven Cuoco here, and I am best known as a top leader and an award-winning public relations representative, an acclaimed media personality, radio host of Live On Air with Steven Cuoco on Power 98.5 satellite radio, and a radio show producer.
The motto of my public relations firm is Setting Your Stage While The Spotlight Is On You! The motto of my satellite radio station, Power 98.5, is Where Your Voice Matters!
My goal and objective are to be the best leader and representative for the public and that is what a true public relations responsibility is all about. My priority is not to put money first, the main priorities are for you and your goals to come first and to get you guaranteed results and you will get them whether it be personal or professional when working with me. Essentially when working with me you will definitely achieve and obtain both.
What qualities make you different and unique from everyone else in the industry?
The qualities that make me different and unique from everyone else are that no one operates a public relations firm the way I do with having the set skills that set me apart from most.
What does that mean? I won’t encourage you to sell your soul or compromise your morals and values to become someone’s puppet or allow you to be used and abused and thrown away like trash – whether you are in entertainment, sports, music, or any profession you embody you will be respected and heard for what you believe in without encouragement of creating a smoke and mirror image and a manufactured identity that will have an expiration date with those who claim to be your allies.
Describe THAT moment when you realized you’re doing what you were born to do.
The moment I realized I am doing what I was born to do is when I have the opportunity to help empower someone to be the best version of themselves.
A secret I will share with you is most people think that when you have all the money, power, celebrity status, and the people who will kiss your ass are those who fear losing all of it the most and they will potentially compromise their morals and values, and relationships to keep their darkest secrets a secret, and give the illusion that they have it all together.
In my reality, I can honestly tell you that people who have this ability to do what they want to do, do not. The people who are the most dangerous are the ones who are pulling the strings behind the scenes and names you never heard of.
I am realistic with everyone about the need to have balance and how to maneuver through the good and evil, the dark and light of this world.
What’s been the biggest challenge you’ve had to go through and how did you grow through it?
The biggest challenge I had to go through in my life is being biracial and someone who is not heterosexual. I have kept it a secret for most of my life that I am Italian, sicilian, puerto rican, and brazillian, and having had faced at a very young age in my career, and being told that gay does not sell, and not being one hundred percent white is a problem.
So I kept the fact that I am not one hundred percent white a secret so I could avoid racism from my peers and from those who closed doors and opportunities for me when they found out and I was not going to give someone that power ever again.
This is the first time in my life where I believe I have permission to let people know that I am also puerto rican and brazillian.
Have I ever felt like a fraud because I did not let people know everything about who I am? No, I do not feel like a fraud. To be honest, it’s no one’s business what my race is and if you can’t see the value and potential of knowing me as a person and a human being, then get out of my way because I have better things to do than to kiss someone’s ass for their approval.
Who are the TOP 3 people you’d want to meet that could elevate your career or business? Why these specific individuals?
There are no names that come to mind at this time of who I would like to meet. What I want are more opportunities to express myself through scripted and unscripted TV, and talk shows, and to be a host or correspondent on news channels.
