Please introduce yourself, what you do, why you do it, and what you want people to know about you.
At my core, Ryan is a storytelling songwriter that processes the world around and within through music, rhythmic poetry, and other forms of writing. You’ll mostly hear the music though.
During my career, I’ve headlined/performed internationally and domestically on stages such as the Eiffel Tower in Paris, several venues in Canada, Crusader Stadium in Texas, Common Grounds, House of Blues Houston and more telling a story through music that people from multiple walks of life can relate to.
What qualities make you different and unique from everyone else in the industry?
When you hear my music the production and songwriting will be both down to earth, yet otherworldly. Simple, yet majestic.
Human, yet ethereal.
Sorrowful, yet triumphant. Citing a diverse range of artists such as Kid Cudi and Han Zimmer as inspiration, the wildly unique and genre-crossing nature of my blended projects makes all the more sense.
Describe THAT moment when you realized you wanted to do what you do now. Who did you tell first? What has it been like since that moment?
I honestly knew I wanted to do this pretty late in my life.
I was a basketball jock all my life and nationally known to rock crowds, and when I had my first concert of 400-1000 people that knew my songs and shared how they connected with them after the show, I was hooked.
I’ve always wanted to give value to the voices and thoughts of the different or lonely ones out there. To hear stuff like “your music saved me from suicide and now I’m helping others” was infectious to my passion.
What has been the biggest challenge you’ve had to face and how did you overcome it?
The last album “Timeless Present” was a labor of love and patience to a whole new degree than my other projects.
I lid changed my artist name, found my sound, and now had to harness all my experience into a sound and communicate the new me in a quality way. That was tough especially in the middle of 2020.
Working virtually definitely changed the dynamic of my team and the speed of the production.
If you had to pick the TOP 3 people you’d want to meet that could take your career (or business) to the next level…who would those 3 people be?
Kid Cudi, Jon Bellion, and Kanye West.
