Please introduce yourself, what you do, why you do it, and what you want people to know about you.
My name is Tommie Tucker Jr. I’m a 30 year old actor based out of Seattle Washington.
A little about me, I was born in the PNW Tacoma Washington. Moved to Seattle Washington to be more closer to the acting scene. Since I was 10 I knew I wanted to be an actor. Would find myself imitating actors in movies since growing up that’s all I had.
Went to The Evergreen State College out in Olympia Washington for theater. Ever since then I have been pursuing my passion. I recently have been in short films, commercial and I have done feature films! My end goal is to find an LA agent and hopefully move there!
I won’t give up until I make it to where I want to be. And even then I won’t be satisfied. I hope I can get the opportunity to be mentioned by such an amazing company.
What qualities make you different and unique from everyone else in the industry?
The qualities that make me different is how no matter what I’m always positive and believe in everyone! That there is no quit in me no matter how tough it can get! What makes me unique is the fight in me! The will to never give up even when others doubt me.
Describe THAT moment when you realized you wanted to do what you do now. Who did you tell first? What has it been like since that moment?
The moment I realized that I wanted to do Acting what when I started theater and my teacher said I was really good and I can really be successful!
The person who I told first was my mother! What it’s been like since that moment it has been really good. Of course you have your ups and downs but to be consistent, never give up and having people around me that believe in me is motivation to keep me going.
What has been the biggest challenge you’ve had to face and how did you overcome it?
The biggest challenge that I have faced was knowing that being an actor does not come easy. That you have to be financially stable before you can do acting full time.
How I overcame that challenge was knowing to have patience and continue to work my daily job until my training and work pays off!
If you had to pick the TOP 3 people you’d want to meet that could take your career (or business) to the next level…who would those 3 people be?
If I could meet 3 people that would take my career to the next level would be Denzel Washington, Samual Jackson and Dwayne The Rock Johnson! Because all three are very successful and there hard work ethic and dedication to there craft makes them the people they are today! Especially Samual Jackson because he didn’t get his first major role until 46 which was pulp fiction and that is Definitely motivation for me everyday!
