Please introduce yourself, what you do, why you do it, and what you want people to know about you.
Hello, I am Ethan Kregel and I musically go by the name of Retro Color. I am a singer-songwriter, record producer, and performer out of Southern California. All of my songs come from a place of life experience, emotion, and stories that inspire. My music is a journal that represents who I am.
What qualities make you different and unique from everyone else in the industry?
I am a college graduate with a Business degree, Audio Technology degree, and will soon have another Audio Technology certificate from The Recording Arts Center in San Diego. I self-produce, and record, most of my music.
Describe THAT moment when you realized you wanted to do what you do now. Who did you tell first? What has it been like since that moment?
The moment I decided that music was the career path for me was when I went on my first tour. This was when I heard the crowd sing my songs back to me while I performed; it was a surreal moment.
What has been the biggest challenge you’ve had to face and how did you overcome it?
The biggest challenge I have had to face as a musician is self-doubt. It is easy to not believe in yourself when something goes wrong. In the end, this problem resolves itself in one way or another.

If I could meet anyone, I would love to meet my idol, Billie Joe Armstrong.
