Man Of Many Characters Jf Davis Is Also A Producer And Director In The Making

Please introduce yourself, what you do, why you do it, and what you want people to know about you.

Hi there, my name is Jf Davis.

I am an actor, who is getting ready to produce and direct my first feature film, “The Demons Within” written by Roberta Griffin and starring Rebekah Kennedy, Reid Miller, and Vincent M. Ward.

I have been a working actor for the past 28 years with more than 70 Film and Television credits as well as 50 plus commercials.

What qualities make you different and unique from everyone else in the industry?

That is a good question. I would have to say it is my ability to be chameleon-like.

I can play such a diverse group of characters, that I will never have to worry about being typecast.

I am a character actor with leading looks.

Describe THAT moment when you realized you wanted to do what you do now. Who did you tell first? What has it been like since that moment?

I was watching TV and I saw an actress that I had done a community theater play with, she was starring in a soap opera, that was the moment that I said, “That’s what’s missing in my life. If she can do it, so can I.”

I didn’t tell anybody right off, I spent the next 6 months planning and preparing for this new challenge and direction that I was heading into.

What has been the biggest challenge you’ve had to face and how did you overcome it?

The biggest challenge was shortly after deciding to become an actor, I got married and started a family.

This made the process a bit slower because it is hard enough for a struggling artist to make his way in the business and support himself, I had to figure out how to follow my dream while also starting a family.

If you had to pick the TOP 3 people you’d want to meet that could take your career (or business) to the next level…who would those 3 people be?

If I had to pick I guess I would like to meet Brian Cranston in hopes that we could do a project together, I would also like to meet and work with Viggo Mortensen and Gary Oldman for the same reason.

These are probably the three actors that I would most like to be compared to and the ones that I admire for their work. To work with any of them would be amazing!
