Please introduce yourself, what you do, why you do it, and what you want people to know about you.
My name is Darius Washington, but I go by my creative title Pasqualé Domain. I am a model from Louisiana that is branching out from one entity to many more. Since I’ve moved to Georgia I have expanded my portfolio, not only through images but also music that I have written and the charisma I bring to sets when I have casting calls. Later this year I shall be attending both NYFW and LAFW to showcase what I’ve learned since beginning my modeling journey back in June of 2019.
What qualities make you different and unique from everyone else in the industry?
The main qualities that I use to define myself have to circle around my ambitious attitude when it comes to a new project or task, my understanding of the task at hand and efficiency in executing it, and my undeniable passion for the art that is created. The charisma I utilize helps me to remain focused and vigilant while taking my mind off any pressure behind the project.
Describe THAT moment when you realized you wanted to do what you do now. Who did you tell first? What has it been like since that moment?
The moment that solidified my passion for my craft would have to be after my first runway in Baton Rouge where I was pulled to later walk for Essence Fest in NOLA. There I met 2 designers from ATL that were recruiting new talent; I was chosen and went on to walk my first fashion show in Atlanta for my 25th birthday all in the same year. Later I moved to Atlanta to form a stronger foundation of what it was I would go on to pursue.
What has been the biggest challenge you’ve had to face and how did you overcome it?
One of the largest challenges to overcome when it comes to my craft will always be overage or self-critiquing. As my biggest critic, I’ve noticed is that I hold myself back from certain accolades due to a lack of trust within my own self. Today I continue to empower myself daily with prayer and practice of what I pursue. When it comes to all the genres I’d love to dabble in my first accomplishment with any is self-acceptance that I can and will do what is needed.
