Please introduce yourself. What do you do? Why? What do you want people to know about you?
Hi, my name is Ronnie Baker Jr., I am an actor.
I’ve done TV, film, commercials, and theatre, I’ve been acting for 10 years and it’s been an amazing journey. When I get a chance to give my testimony on the big stage I promise it’ll be life-changing for a lot of people.
My story is very relatable but unique.
What qualities make you different and unique from everyone else in the industry?
I want people to get used to seeing my name. Also to understand I am going to be one of your favorite on-screen actors and I plan on being here for a while.
I have a lot of personalities, I’m charming and charismatic. I’m a people person, I’m very easy to talk to and I make people feel comfortable which I feel will do wonders on screen. My ability to connect with people emotionally sets me apart from the rest.
My on-screen presence is unmatched and no matter who’s in the scene with me I stand out! I want the world to get ready for me because I’ve been preparing for them.
Describe THAT moment when you realized you’re doing what you were born to do.
The moment I realized this is what I was meant to do was the first time I did a stage play.
It was called 5 to 10 about a young man named Young Fish who has to do some time at Gentry Penitentiary. Well, at the end of the stage play several audience members came to me and explained how my performance brought them to tears because unknowingly some of the members actually did time in prison.
I had adult men and women in tears because my character brought back memories. That was the day I knew I was meant to do this for the rest of my life.
What’s been the biggest challenge you’ve had to go through and how did you grow through it?
The biggest challenge would be balancing my job for my career. I have really been blessed to have been at the right job at the right time because each job I’ve ever had only helped me move forward with my career.
Saying please and thank you and treating everyone the same as far as being respectful and always of service when needed has gotten me much further because I built relationships with my employers so if I needed time off it was never an issue.
Money is always an issue so trial and error are going to be your best friend. Everything won’t work for everybody, however, taking ideas and implementing them to what fits your schedule is key.
Last but not least, you have to sacrifice some fun stuff to get your end result. Think of it as planting a seed. You don’t get your harvest when you first plant it but as the seasons change that seed grows and flourishes into something beautiful.
Same as your career, it’s been little seeds that I’ve planted over a decade ago that are now flourishing for me.
Who are the TOP 3 people you’d want to meet that could elevate your career or business? Why these specific individuals?
Denzel Washington – The Godfather of acting for me I could learn longevity and how to handle the business.
Ava Duvernay – a director I will work with in the near future, the type of stories she tells will give me a chance to showcase my range.
Larry Moss – can teach me craft and how to go deeper emotionally with my characters.

I loved this interview, I thought Ronnie’s response to your questions to be honest and forthright. I really loved how he spoke about dropping seeds into the soil, that spoke of his up bringing. God has great things in store for this young man. Keep looking forward and never let anyone stand in your way. Keep God first and you’ll never fail .
