Los Angeles, CA – Iranian singer-songwriter Sanaz is set to release her anticipated debut EP “Chapters” on October 10th, 2024. The six-track EP showcases Sanaz’s evolution as an artist, with the empowering focus single “Just Another Chapter” leading the way.
“Chapters” represents a significant milestone in Sanaz’s musical journey, offering listeners a vulnerable collection of songs that explore personally discovered themes of love, loss, self-discovery, and resilience. The EP’s title cleverly reflects the artist’s perspective on the various stages of life and experiences, with each track representing a unique chapter in her story.
The EP features organic compositions using fully realized instruments, creating a warm and authentic sound that complements Sanaz’s heartfelt storytelling. The tracklist includes singles “Our Little Home,” “Three Steps,” and “Rest” all released earlier in 2024.
“The inspiration for this EP came from the idea of each song representing a different chapter of life,” Sanaz explained. “My goal was to weave a narrative through the music, reflecting my own experiences and emotions. I hope that listeners can connect with these chapters and find something in the EP that resonates with their own life experiences.”
Focus track – “Just Another Chapter” is an intimate song that captures the raw emotions of a painful breakup. Originally conceived as a melancholic ballad, it evolved into an uplifting anthem for moving on. The focus of the EP – “Just Another Chapter” is a summation of everything special about this project.
“When I first brought ‘Just Another Chapter’ into the studio, I thought it would be this super sad breakup song. But my producer gave it a whole new vibe, turning it into a breakup anthem. Now, instead of just feeling sad, people can actually dance around and sing their hearts out, celebrating the end of a chapter and moving on.”
The song’s imagery includes wilted petals and faded memories, representing a tale of a once vibrant relationship that has since turned gray.
“I wanted ‘Just Another Chapter’ to feel like a mix of bittersweet and empowering,” Sanaz explained. “It’s about moving on from a breakup and finding strength in closing that chapter.”
