Jin Chohan’s Unstoppable Journey to Success

Please introduce yourself. What do you do? Why? What do you want people to know about you?

Born and raised in England, originally was a dancer. I started making videos about 10 years ago, as that progressed I decided to study filmmaking at UCLA, and now I run a filmmaking company. I’m currently making a documentary about the media and its the relationship to popular culture; all in relation to Michael Jackson.

What qualities make you different and unique from everyone else in the industry?

Love the description. I think I like to think out of the box and find inspiration in being able to do things my way. Of course, learning from great people, but I pride myself on being committed to my own creativity and believing in it wholeheartedly. I have ambitions sometimes which seem a little far fetched but I don’t let that stop my drive to achieve it, because after all, we ain’t here forever so why not try your best. That’s probably my defining characteristic.

Describe THAT moment when you realized you’re doing what you were born to do.

The moment I quit university in England. Being pushed to study the sciences by my parents, I decided being an artist isn’t just want it’s a need to do. So I started training every day and committed myself to myself.

What’s been the biggest challenge you’ve had to go through and how did you grow through it?

Unsupportive people around me, overcoming that and believing in your destination.

Who are the TOP 3 people you’d want to meet that could elevate your career or business? Why these specific individuals?

Elon Musk: I think he’d have a brilliant overview which is different from the usual advice I think Id receive.

Prince, the artist: Speak to him about his 1979 performance on American Bandstand. About him being very shy and awkward after his performance and his decision to never be like that again.

Michael Jackson: I’d like to learn about his humanitarian values unwavering while most people would become bitter with the way the public treated the person.
