Cromeone is a hip-hop artist born and raised in the north end of Winnipeg Canada with features from some of the biggest names in the game, including Young Buck, Yukmouth, and Krizz Kaliko, Bronze Nazareth from the Wu Tang Clan, King Khalifa, Goretex from Non Phixion Canibus and is currently finishing up a feature with Lil Flip. His music has been praised by fans locally and now is gaining worldwide exposure and his growing number of fans continues to grow with each new release worldwide.
His features have earned him a reputation as a lyrical powerhouse. Hip hop has always been his primary genre of music but is a well-rounded versatile emcee. Cromeone’s latest production is backed by Anno Domini, Wyshmaster, Legion Beats, DJ Flippp, Big Shots Beats, Temper Music, which are multi-platinum producers that have achieved success with major artists like Too Short, Mista Fab, Lil Flip, Techn9ne and more.
Cromeone’s beats are all made by multi platinum producers with signed agreements for the rights and use of such content by some of the most well-respected successful multi platinum producers in the industry, making his music a must-listen for any fan of good hip-hop. He started making music performing shows in 2005.
He loves performing live for any crowd that will listen to his hard-hitting lyrics and high energy performances and content that ranges from love to politics to the things he’s been through and views on life, etc. while also producing for other artists’ projects under his own label “Cromeone music” many more artists backing him up with their work and features on upcoming releases. Cromeone’s name is becoming known all over the world, with his hard-hitting lyrics and unique storylines.
What qualities make you different and unique from everyone else in the industry?
I’m definitely a lyrical hard hitter with a wide range of lyrics and storytelling abilities that come from my life and the things I’ve seen. I was born and raised in Winnipeg Manitoba in Canada and let’s just say I’ve seen a lot. I get into great details when it comes to writing songs.
Describe THAT moment when you realized you’re doing what you were born to do.
The very first time I hit the stage, I was nervous but after that first show, I just knew the stage was my home. I’m just a whole different person onstage.
I’m explosive and it shows but, in person, I’m humble, very genuine, and quiet.
What’s been the biggest challenge you’ve had to go through and how did you grow through it?
Ten plus years independently booking and performing shows locally. Was trying to expand but then the pandemic hit and left me confused and almost feeling defeated as a musician hip-hop artist. Blood, sweat, and tears throughout the years, getting little to no profit or valuable source of income. Getting hustled by show promoters, booking agents, etc.
I’m an artist but felt as if I was a manager, a business marketer, etc. Took a lot of my music writing and recording to be all everybody needed to make it and get well known.
Who are the TOP 3 people you’d want to meet that could elevate your career or business? Why these specific individuals?
Snoop Dogg, Eminem, and Too Short.
There wouldn’t be real hip-hop music without the likes of these three emcees with worldwide fan bases and just nonstop work. Albums after albums. Definitely my motivation, a goal is to just keep creating and distributing music.
I would love to meet Gabe Legion Beats personally as well.
