We are Da.Loca and Melo, an artistic duo from Chicago that has just released a critically acclaimed album entitled Once Upon A Time In Chicago (Deluxe Edition). Our instrumental release features a dynamic fusion of jazz, house, funk, disco, R&B and Hi-NRG/New Wave.

Our album, which debuted December 1, 2023, has been received with positive reviews, landing over 140,00 plays on Spotify (with the distinction of having the single The Theme Of DJ Steve Nyce charting at #1 in Luxembourg and Sweet Chocolate’s Revenge charting at #9 and #8 respectively) and over 200,000 on Soundcloud.
Award winning Canadian crime writer Vernon Smith featured the single I’ve Got 20 Dollars Left And I’m Going To Maxwell Street in his event commercials on radio stations in Canada; several Spotify editorial playlists have included our songs ranging from Jazz to House, Disco to 80s Grooves which we are quite proud and honored to have been featured.
We have written and composed with live and virtual instruments all the cuts on the album as we are both multi-instrumentalists. While we are not local we have no problems doing radio interviews via zoom or the phone for the show.
