What qualities make you different and unique from everyone else in the industry?
I produce, I engineer, I write, sing and run my own label. There aren’t too many women in the game that wear this many hats. I put passion into every aspect of my career and I think that shows through my work.
Describe THAT moment when you realized you wanted to do what you do now. Who did you tell first? What has it been like since that moment?
Since very little I always knew I wanted to be a professional singer. I used to put on shows for my family and playtime for me was harmonizing with my friends and making beats in my bedroom. I never really told anyone or had a formal conversation about pursuing a career in music, I just went for it.
What has been the biggest challenge you’ve had to face and how did you overcome it?
Being diagnosed with Lupus was one of the most difficult points of my life. I strive every day to create peace and do what I love as a survival mechanism. There is no cure for Lupus and so I get to live every day as fully as I can.
