Nhikeet Dhillon Fancy People With Her Effortless Punjabi Fashion

Please introduce yourself, what you do, why you do it, and what you want people to know about you.

I’am Nikeet Dhillon ! Am 21 years old actress who was born in Kenya , but due to my father’s ill health me and family moved back to India when i was 4 years old and ever since i live between Mumbai & Chandigarh.

I started out by being part of Regional – Punjabi Music Videos soon. To discover that i love being in front of camera. Soon after got few films as a lead actor and since then haven’t looked back .

What qualities make you different and unique from everyone else in the industry?

I dance, sing and emote as most of the indian actors are expected to but why i stand out is because i try to do the above in the most effortless fashion. Have done three Punjabi movies till date and a couple of music videos and now working on a web show currently .

I think what makes me stand out in the crowd are my dreamy eyes , i think i emote through them all the time and are way more expressive than any other girl .

Describe THAT moment when you realized you wanted to do what you do now. Who did you tell first? What has it been like since that moment?

That moment has to be one on a film set of a film in which i was playing a friend to a lead actor just to make a quick buck . Its during one of the scenes where i saw the cinematic magic and the actor transforming into a character she was playing . I guess thats when i realized acting is something i want to pursue !

I told my mum about it and she was and till date has been very supportive towards my career . Ever since, each day has been a learning experience . I discover a new thing about my craft each day with portraying new character with every project that i take on.

What has been the biggest challenge you’ve had to face and how did you overcome it?

Biggest challenge so far for me has to be smoking in front of camera as i am a non smoker in real life.

So for me to enact to smoke in front of camera was a bit of challenge but by the end of the shot my director was satisfied and thats what makes me the happiest that i could deliver a performance that he expected out of me for this particular role.

If you had to pick the TOP 3 people you’d want to meet that could take your career (or business) to the next level…who would those 3 people be?

1. Martin Scorsese
2. Raj Kumar Hirani
3. Deepa Mehta
All three are filmmakers who I definitely think can take my career to another level if i get a chance to work with them .
