Award-winning actress, writer, and creative force Faith Reed is proving that the modern leading lady is as much a visionary behind the camera as she is magnetic in front of it.
This fall marked a milestone moment for the Los Angeles-based multi-hyphenate. Her short film Inflection Points—which she wrote, produced, and starred in—is making a name for itself on the film festival circuit, earning her a Best Actress Award, two Best Actress Nominations, and a Nomination for Best Women’s Short thus far.
A quiet, emotionally charged drama about the moments that define who we become, Inflection Points explores what happens when we finally meet ourselves on the other side of change. The project established Faith as a compelling new voice in independent cinema, one unafraid to blend vulnerability with strength alongside maverick narrative techniques.
Between that recognition, her work as a board member for Los Angeles-based nonprofit The New Hollywood, and the growing momentum of her creative platform The Actor Diaries, Faith is carving out a career defined by purpose and creative integrity. Earlier this year, she co-produced and performed in The New Hollywood’s sold-out Benefit Concert featuring Broadway and on-screen talent, further merging artistry with advocacy.
A Virginia native and Boston University graduate, Faith’s artistic roots stretch from musical theater and professional dance training to screenwriting, acting, and production. Her on-camera presence reflects years of discipline combined with a deep curiosity (and joy) about human nature.

In 2024, Faith launched The Actor Diaries, an online platform that merges career insight, creative storytelling, and artist lifestyle. It quickly became a space for authenticity—honestly chronicling the in-between moments of resilience, reinvention, and growth along an actor’s path.
“The Actor Diaries started as a way to stay creative between projects,” she says, “but it’s grown into this living archive of what it actually takes to commit to a life in the arts. It was a deliberate personal choice to take creative agency and build something for myself, generating my own momentum and opportunities instead of waiting for someone else to give me an acting job.”
The Actor Diaries has since evolved further, featuring monthly interviews with industry titans and working artists alike: making their journeys more accessible and providing inspiration and tools for others still building theirs. Faith is currently developing new projects across mediums, while continuing to expand The Actor Diaries and champion her short film on the festival circuit.
In addition to her creative producing work, she remains equally active in front of the camera, pursuing dynamic new roles that align with her artistic vision. Through her ongoing work with The New Hollywood, she also champions the nonprofit’s initiatives to support mentorship, education, and empowerment for women in underserved communities—advancing its mission to inspire change through storytelling and values-driven leadership.
Faith remains focused on stories that balance glamour, grit, and the reward of creative risk. With elegance, warmth, ambition, and an unmistakeable presence, Faith Reed is quickly becoming one of the names to watch among Hollywood’s rising generation of storytellers.
