Rapper Nate Nitty Shares Journey After Two Liver Transplants

Please introduce yourself. What do you do? Why? What do you want people to know about you?

I’m Nate Nitty, how are y’all doing? I rap and I’ve been rapping for about 9 years now and I’ve gotten better. I had 2 liver transplants. I was born with jaundice malaria and atresia.

During the first transplant, I had a cancerous liver put inside of me. A little girl was an organ donor and I was first on the list to get the liver. I’ve been alive and healthy ever since. Been through chemo and all the whole year I had the cancerous liver in me. I went from 12 medications to just one.

What qualities make you different and unique from everyone else in the industry?

I’m overall a people person and I don’t get cocky over little things. I listen to everyone, I’m not a one-sided person at all.

Describe THAT moment when you realized you’re doing what you were born to do.

When I started making sense of my music and it actually had a real meaning and learned how to tell my story.

What’s been the biggest challenge you’ve had to go through and how did you grow through it?

Being a liver transplant patient and accepting my scar.

Who are the TOP 3 people you’d want to meet that could elevate your career or business? Why these specific individuals?

Kevin Gates, Nas, and Gucci Mane.
