RELEASES NEW SINGLE “THINGS CHANGE”

Southern California-based singer-songwriter-instrumentalist-producer VENUS is releasing her latest single, “Things Change,” today, September 15. This dreamy soundscape is the first track to come out ahead of an EP project in the works, which is being composed entirely by Venus herself. Following years of self-discovery, refining her sound, and a collaborative EP release with her group Ahmore which garnered critical acclaim, Venus is embarking on a new chapter with the aptly titled “Things Change.”

Drawing inspiration from her vastly diverse musical tastes, Venus writes, records, and produces within the walls of her home. This new track, “Things Change,” is characterized by its soothing demeanor, velvet vocals, hypnotic guitar riffs, and boisterous synthesizers. In her own words it’s “a hazy and misty lullaby for pondering the inevitability of change.”
Venus has a soft spot for writing soothing, infectious music and relatable narratives. A singer, songwriter, instrumentalist and producer, she combines these strengths into an undeniable dreamlike fusion of indie/alternative, pop, and new wave. For Venus, music is meant to be a “soundtrack to the stories of our lives.” This truth saw a great rush of output and ascent into the conversation when her group Ahmore released the EP Sonder (2021), publicly recognized by Uproxx “Best New R&B,” Fusicology and more.
