Please introduce yourself. What do you do? Why? What do you want people to know about you?
Hello- My name is Rose Kreider and I am a film director, screenwriter, model and actor. I started through the pandemic and began directing my first film just last October. My directorial debut released on March 13th, 2022 and I am beyond ecstatic what the future holds for me and my film career!
What qualities make you different and unique from everyone else in the industry?
What makes me different and unique is my frame of mind, beliefs and values, my creativeness, and personality, as I am extremely driven and passionate about my goals.
Describe THAT moment when you realized you’re doing what you were born to do.
The moment I know I found what I’m supposed to do is through trial and error when I began modeling and acting through the pandemic 2 years ago, I realized from one acting experience that I wanted to create a film entirely through the audiences perspective. This thought inspired me to have a dream the following night that jumpstarted my directing career. I had a dream about an inspiring story, which ended up being my the synopsis to my film, The Woman. I knew once filming began that it was my life journey. The whole screenwriting, coordination, directing and editing process is so exhilarating that I’m craving more.
What’s been the biggest challenge you’ve had to go through and how did you grow through it?
The biggest challenge that I’ve had to go through has likely been when the pandemic began, and I started modeling and acting virtually, I began to gain confidence after getting photoshoots and winning competitions and being asked to be in upcoming roles; however, I was highly mistreated in the modeling world and some people in the acting industry in the PNW kept putting me down saying that I had to change specific things about myself to be more attractive in order to get gigs. This put me down more than anything, and even became depressed for a period of time in 2020.
Who are the TOP 3 people you’d want to meet that could elevate your career or business? Why these specific individuals?
The top 3 people who I’d want to meet are:
1. Tim Burton- he is such an inspirational writer and director. I’d love to pick his brain and gain knowledge from him and his film experiences.
2. Tyra Banks- I’d love to meet such an inspirational woman to gain the perspective of a curvy lady and finding their inner confidence. I have some, but would love to have some kind of personal development day with Tyra.
3. Annie Murphy- Annie seems like such a genuine actor and I value how she full engrosses herself in her characters, (and I LOVE Schitts Creek!)
