Please introduce yourself. What do you do? Why? What do you want people to know about you?
My name is Slyeeki I’m 14 I was born June 18, 2007. I was born and raised in Mississippi. I’m a youtuber,comedian,singer,and I run my own entertainment business. The reason why I do it is to keep my audience entertained for the most part, but for my entertainment business it’s to help other small entertainers reach a bigger audience.
What qualities make you different and unique from everyone else in the industry?
I look at myself different from other people in this industry, but not perfect than anyone else. Some people can’t focus on during 4 things at the same time. Plus I’m 15 years of age, and I was raised by old school parents. In my opinion, most kids my age wouldn’t even think about creating the picture I’ve created. That’s why I feel unique, and I do everything by myself with no help.
Describe THAT moment when you realized you’re doing what you were born to do.
When I was nine I started performing things around my community from acting to singing. When I was 10 I played in a couple plays, but I also took acting classes during that time. When I was 11 I started to lose faith in myself until I realized I came to far to give up, but also I realized you have to go through failure to get better at doing things. When I was 12 I couldn’t hardly do much because I was going through family issues. At the age of 13 I did more plays until Covid 19 started. Lastly, when I was 14 I created a YouTube channel and Spotify account which both of them gained over 1,000 subscribers in less than a month, and then I realized I wanted to help other people out because it could be stressful. Then that’s when I came out with Slyeeki Entertainment. I just turned 15, but it’s more to come this year.
What’s been the biggest challenge you’ve had to go through and how did you grow through it?
As I mentioned before it was failure. I lost faith in myself because of failure, and it cost me to go through a lot. I never thought I’ll be where I’m today, but good thing I overcame failure. I wasn’t able to sing or act because it was to much going on then that’s when I had thoughts in my head about giving it all up.
Who are the TOP 3 people you’d want to meet that could elevate your career or business? Why these specific individuals?
I don’t actually have people directly that I would want to meet, but I would like to connect with more small/upcoming YouTubers,entrepreneurs, and singers.
